Sagebrush & wind

If you plan for a soufflĂ© and find you have no oven, you serve scrambled eggs. There is no place to camp in the south east corner of Oregon. There is also no cellular data so that you can find this out without driving 80 miles or so to the next • on the map. By the way, if that dot looks like a degree symbol, just keep going cuz there is probably nothing there. Also, most hotels will let you share your room with your dogs for a small fee. However, you and your SO and SPs (significant pets) will have to snuggle close in a queen bed. King pet rooms seem to be at a premium. We got lucky!

Rain rain and more

So we have travelled over 12 hours and not yet escaped the rain, although the dog has finally seemed to have gotten over the initial wave of car sickness. Obviously we will not be sleeping in a tent tonight. Possibly we may be sleeping in California.

Maybe we'll try again

It's Memorial Day and its raining, so like all good Washingtonians we are going camping. In southern Oregon. In the desert. So we brought the dogs and Pikachu has never been on a ride longer than the 15 miles when we brought her home. It took 40 miles for us to figure out that she would quit crying when we stopped looking at her. In Vancouver, I caught her just before she threw up on Molly. Apparently, Chuey gets carsick.
